Assessment and treatment of speech and language delays and deficits to help develop skills for successful communication.

Therapists work with children on developing receptive (understanding of language) and expressive (what they communicate) language skills. Therapy will work on a child’s ability to:

  • attend to, process, and comprehend spoken language.
  • improve expressive language vocabulary, sentence formulation skills, use of grammatical forms, and narrative formulation.
  • develop social/pragmatic language

AAC Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) services are also offered.

  • teach functional communication for non-vocal learners
  • acquire funding for speech-generating devices (SGDs)
